Preliminary Programme Overview — 19 January 2026
Strengthening cross-border collaboration among procurement professionals
Derived from the EU project Procure4Health, a working group of procurement professionals has been formed to drive Value-Based Procurement across multiple countries. This session marks the start of a Community of Practice focused on addressing needs, overcoming challenges, and sharing best practices.
Session focus:
• VBP “Why and What”
• Building a shared platform for VBP expertise
• Identifying barriers and solutions across systems
Hands-on session with purchasing organisations and expert facilitators
In collaboration with purchasing organisations from:
- ARIA S.p.A., Italy
- Fundación Progreso y Salud, Spain
- Resah, France
- MercurHosp, Belgium
- Sykehusinnkjøp, Norway
- Representatives from the Big Buyers Consortium
- And others …
Value-Based Procurement (VBP) offers a powerful way for healthcare buyers to achieve better outcomes, yet many organisations struggle to put VBP into practice. This session, moderated by Ticbiomed, introduces the InnoHSupport Advisory Services programme, designed to guide buyers in strengthening their VBP capabilities through tailored expert coaching. Participants will work through a practical exercise to identify gaps and challenges within their current procurement approach and explore how advisory support can help address them. Buyers will leave with clearer priorities and concrete next steps for advancing their organisation’s VBP strategy.
These services are designed for:
- Hospitals & health service providers
- Primary care centres & community clinics
- Regional health authorities
- Public health departments
- Long-term care or social care institutions
Industry representatives welcomed to join this interactive co-development session
This final session invites both healthcare providers and industry to exchange perspectives on sustainability, innovation, and procurement challenges in the healthcare sector. As part of the Big Buyers initiative, it offers suppliers a unique opportunity to learn directly from public purchasers and tailor their offerings more effectively.
Session structure:
- Public Forum
- Presentations from public buyers on concrete needs in the medical devices sector, including sustainability and innovation requirements
- Overview of Big Buyers activities and related networks
- Closed Workshops for Potential Suppliers
- Small-group discussions between challenge owners and interested companies
- Other buyers may join the groups most relevant to their interests
